Forum Provides Opportunities for 70,000 Updox Members to Share Best Practices About Topics Including Direct Messaging, Patient Engagement and Running Efficient Practices
Dublin, Ohio, Sept. 30, 2014 – Some say it takes a village. Updox knows it takes a community.
To support idea sharing, networking and collaboration, Updox, the industry leader for physician connectivity and CRM solutions for health care, launched Updox Community, a free online community at www.updoxcommunity.com. The forum provides 70,000 Updox members a place to build relationships, share information and trade best practices.
“Our customers are doing amazing things and we’re often asked to share stories about what other practices and providers are doing. We created Updox Community as an environment of ongoing learning to help customers best manage their practices, expand services and provide better care to patients,” said Michael Morgan, chief executive officer, Updox. “Beyond how best to use Updox solutions, Updox Community is a forum to discuss industry themes such leveraging Direct messaging to benefit medical practices; increasing portal adoption and patient engagement and improving practice efficiency.”
Through Updox Community, exclusive for Updox customers, community members can participate in online forums with opportunities to ask questions, request feedback, engage in discussions, comment on Updox initiatives and submit blogs, success stories or case studies. The Updox Community is also ideal for exchanging ideas around customer relationship management (CRM) methods to maximize relationships between physicians and patients, physicians and providers and practices and partners.
“By collecting from-the-trenches ideas on how to run a better practice, stay independent and boost patient engagement, Updox Community provides a very meaningful service to independent physicians and practices that might not otherwise have access to networking such as this,” says James Legan, MD, of Northwest Physicians in Great Falls, Mont., “It takes a lot to keep a small office running these days and, without Updox, it would be darn near impossible. Updox allows me to keep doing what I love. They make being a doctor fun again and I’m eager to hear what others have to share.”
As the Updox Community grows, the forums and discussions will also expand. Updox Community members can organize local events with other customers and connect via sub-groups based on their region, specialty or other commonality. Updox customers can register for Updox Community through their Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter logins or create their own usernames and profiles.
“Sometimes we hear ‘No one is using patient portals’ or ‘Direct secure messaging will never be used.’ We know from our customers that that isn’t true,” says Morgan. “Based on the size of our network and the successes our customers have, we are uniquely positioned to bring together practices and providers across the nation to collectively exchange ideas, share insights and build relationships.”
Providing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for health care, Updox is the industry leading Physician Connectivity Platform. More than 45 electronic health record (EHR) vendors, representing 140,000 physicians, selected Updox as their Health Information Service Provider (HISP) of choice to be a part of the Updox Direct Network (UDN). With our CRM solutions, health care providers and practices can easily manage communications from one inbox, streamline physician relationships, drive collaboration with partners and engage patients – all integrated with the practice’s existing EHR. Practices benefit through improved relationships with patients and other providers, increased revenues, reduced costs, and enhanced business efficiencies.
Updox services are available directly to independent physicians or through partnerships with EHR vendors to help practices run more efficiently, increase revenues and offer patients a more satisfying experience. More than 70,000 members have joined Updox to change how medical practices collaborate and share information.
Updox achieved full accreditation with the Direct Trusted Agent Accreditation Program (DTAAP) as a Health Information Service Provider/Registration Authority/Certificate Authority (HISP/RA/CA) from DirectTrust.org and the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC). Additionally, Updox is a founding member of Carequality.
